Here’s how to prepare the wrapped sweet potatoes in bacon bites:

  • 1 lb. sweet potatoes
  • 2 tsp. avocado oil
  • 1/8 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp. black pepper
  • 10 strips pasture-raised bacon, sliced in half
  • 1/4 tsp. sea salt
  • 1/4 tsp. paprika

At first, you should chop the potatoes into one-inch rounds. In a way, you can easily wrap the bacon around them, make sure you choose skinny sweet potatoes instead of the old large ones. Now, toss them in avocado oil, paprika, cinnamon, sea salt, and black pepper.

Using a piece of thick-cut bacon is ideal for this recipe. When you fully coat the potato, wrap half a bacon strip around the edge of each round, slightly overlapping the ends. Secure with a toothpick.

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. and bake them for 40 minutes. Afterward, place them on a paper towel to cool for a few minutes. You can also, serve them with maple syrup, enjoy.

Some people prefer substituting sweet potatoes with white potatoes.

Yet, in this way the recipe is paleo-friendly. Sweet potatoes are richer in fiber and nutrients such as vitamin A which can help with good skin health along with eyesight – something everyone wants! Additionally, they won’t elevate your blood sugar levels so they will fit any low-carb diet plan.
